New Rural Fire Appliance for Riversdale Beach VRFF

On Saturday 21st June, Riversdale Beach Volunteer Rural Fire Force received the keys to a new Isuzu Rural Fire appliance.

The handing over ceremony saw over 60 people in attendance, including local residents, Her Worship Masterton Mayor Lyn Patterson, Masterton Deputy Mayor Graham McClymont and councillors.  

The Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Wairarapa Tararua District Board Chairman Dave Hilliard congratulated the residents of Riversdale Beach, and thanked the volunteers of the Fire Force for their continued support and commitment to their community.

This new Isuzu was jointly funded by Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Wairarapa Tararua District and Fire and Emergency New Zealand. With the addition of this latest appliance, 5 of the 8 VRFF in the Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Wairarapa Tararua District have been upgraded to new Isuzu’s over the last 8 years.
